Has anyone tried the strings that Musicians Friend sells in bulk by string guage. They are not in the sales catalog you have to ask for them by guage. They are very reasonably priced.

Hello Walter, Yes I have tried the bulk strings from Musician's Friend. They work but for my money I will use Jagwires. Whether you buy by the set or singles I believe you will by happier even if they might cost a tiny bit more. Whether you use stainless steel or nickle wound I truly think you will be happier in the long run.
Danny has several artist series sets that might fit your need or singles for your own special set. I tried them and will not use any other string, nickle wound being my preference. Just my thoughts since you asked. Hope this helps a little.
