I just completed my first studio project. When I started playing steel back in september I never thought I would have pulled it off. Thanks everyone here for your E-mail suggestions on the song. Here it is.. a little out of tune but hopefully a beginning of better things to come.

Damn good alt. stuff, Matt. Not steel vehicles obviously but the steel works and enhances. More of interest is the quality of the music. A lot of Gram/neo-Gram Ryan Adams et.al. kinda stuff sounds the same to me but good music is good music. Nice job.

Sounds very nice! This is for some sort of Jayhawks tribute compilation? Is it a local thing?

Good music is good music.
The steel adds the right kind of highs for this song.
Go for it.

Henry, yes it's for a fan tribute. Not a local thing but multi-national. People are submitting things from all over the world. It is sponsored through their website. We are very excited to have been chosen. The problem now is we have to decide which track to use. Good problem to have I guess.

Super nice, Matt! Should get easier and easier as you go along... I can't figure out anymore if I enjoy recording or playing live more- different worlds, but both rewarding and exciting. Keep it up!
