Some one posted a neat crossover intro and I can't find the old post.I think it was strings 5-6-7-
with the crossover tone like on 2ng stg full tone
lower used on way to survive.
I play day setup.I can't recall the tuning if It
was ped 3 4 or?.Any help would be ok.Chuck

Chuck, I don't know if this is what you are talking about, but I sometimes intro that song by using string 2 and string 5. Lower stg 2 a full step and raise stg 5 a full step (A pedal). Now the two strings are in unison. Pick the two strings in unison, then slowly release both the lever and the pedal and you get a gradual full step rise from stg 2 simultaneously with a full step lower from stg 5. So say you are playing in key of E; first you take the 5 stg from B to C# (with the pedal) and the 2 stg from D# to C# (with the lever). So you pick them in unison (C#) then slowly release both the lever and the pedal together so that hopefully string 5 reaches a B-note at the same time stg 2 reaches a D# note. This final combination is the 5-chord of E which is B. If I am telling you something you already know, I apologize.

I play the day setup and pedal 3 to C# and pedal 4
lowers 6 to G which creates a crossover between
5 and 6 but it don';t sound like I had it before on the carter I sold.I'm missing something.
I might of had another Knee lever in use on the carter,It had nine knees.I press 3 And 4 which has
a crossover change on 5 and 6 but don';t have that unison crossover intro.Chuck

OK Guys I found the Greg Cutshaw Tabbed intro #658
under Justin Emmert 6stg to B flat post July 17.
It's the way to survive intro.Raises 6 st to B for
that unison sound. Thanks to Greg Cutshaw fo posting
the info and tab
Go to July 24 rt column moderator mickey adams rt screen for the Justin Emmert July 17 post. G# to b
flat discussion which ended up to be the G# to B
3 tone raise For the unison tone. Chuck

Look at July 24 post moderator mickey adams
Justin Emmert post July 17 6st G# to B flat.
Raise 6st to B on 0 pedal Emmons setup
Raise 6 stg to B on 4 pedal Day Setup
I think this is what they are refering to.
I had it on another steel .Great intro Chuck
I think an extra knee lever might work on this also.
