Hi

I just picked up this Oahu. It will need a little work, reglue a brace and a new nut

I've never seen one with a tiger strip design

it's stamped s-41 inside

Any ideas what model or any other info would be great

that is very cool!!! great looking and even the decal looks good.

i have a sunburst version that has "1146" stamped inside. great sounding lap steel for a rather cheap guitar.

play music!

I believe the S-41 stamp would indicate this guitar was made by Harmony in Chicago. There has been some debate on if the "S" means "Spring" of the listed year or "Second" as in the second half of the year. I believe the general consensus now is it means the second half of the year, so yours is a pre-war, but just barely. I have a Harmony tenor guitar marked F-41, and the original owner remembers already having it in the fall of 41 - so the "F" means first half.
