Jack, I have a same as new Peavey Nashville 1000 cabinet that I purchased here on the Forum that I have never put to use yet. I mounted a Session 400 chassis in it and have not yet put a speaker or reverb tank in it. I am 99.99% sure it will fit a Vegas 400, only difference being it has the vent cutout on top so you would need a vent like on the Nashville 112 which cost around $10.00 from Peavey. I have since thought I might build a head cabinet for the Session 400 instead of using the combo cabinet. If you are interested please email me at rollermusic@cox.net. If someone has info that I am wrong about the Vegas 400 fitting the 1000 cabinet please let me know here.
Jerry

I gave some wrong information. My cabinet is from a Session 400 Limited. It looks just like a Session 400 cabinet with a grille on top. It does not have that contoured front top edge like a 1000 or 112. It uses straps 5 1/4" center to center mounting hole and I bolted a Session 400 chassis into it without and alterations or drilling. Sorry I had you guys checking your 1000's for measurements.

Jack, I went to the shop to take photos of my cabinet with the Session 400 chassis in it. I had not yet put the front grille back on it after installing the chassis. I could not get the grille to go on. It seemed that the chassis was slightly too tall, so now I have got to find out if the Session 400 chassis taller than the Session 400 Limited. It doesn't seem likely that they would be different but I could not get it to go. I will try again when I have time to see if I am missing something.

Jack, I am still in amazement that this cabinet I have fits the Session 400 and Vegas chassis perfectly but I can't get the grille to go on. It is maybe 3/16" too tall for the opening. No manipulating it in. I wish Mike Brown would come in and tell us if the Session 400 Limited had a slightly narrower face on the chassis. I would try to help you but at this point I don't know how I can.
