My band, Double Edge & I, had the awesome opportunity to play at the International Rockabilly Festival in Memphis, TN this past weekend with Narvel Felts. Narvel knocked it out of the park, as usual. Everyone there got "Narvelized". A good time was had by all.

Narvel has been one of my favorite singers since the mid '70's. I met him in '75 and saw and spoke with him a month ago and he's still one of the nicest guys I ever met. He still gets a standing ovation whenever he does a show.

I did a show about a dozen years ago backing up Narvel - he was awesome, playing Telecaster leads while lying down on the stage, pivoting on his pelvis! Tremendously nice guy - was supposed to do another show this summer, but the promoter screwed it up....

How tall is he? He seems to tower over everyone in that pic!

Our band had the pleasure of backing Narvel on several occasions, and the experience was electrifying! He gives 110% on every song, and sings so amazingly well, I always wondered why he never achieved the fame of other great country "soul singers", like Jones and Twitty.

Enjoy one of his best: Cool
