The lovely bride has announced my 52nd birthday present: a Milkman ½ & ½.
As I currently have a:
Seafoam Green reissue Twin with Jensen Mod 15
Ultralinear Twin with Eminence Legend E-M12G speakers
Session 500
Session 400
Super Twin Reverb head,

I'm thinking of turning a couple of them into money.
The Ultralinear could go in the seafoam green cab (can it handle 180W?) if I got another green chicken head for the master volume and the reissue could feed the 12s.

I WON'T sell the 400 don't want to sell the Super Twin.
I wonder which Twin configuration would fetch more, and sell quicker.

1 Ultralinear, black cab and 2/12
2: Ultralinear, green cab and 15
3:, reissue Twin with green cab and 15
4: reissue in black and 2/12

I might sell a Twin and the 500

Wait till you get the Half and Half. You might decide to sell everything else (I did)....or not. But at least you would know what your tone palette is and how it compares with the other amps.

It isn't exactly all-tube tone (at least when tubes are cranked up), but it is a pretty perfect match for steel (plus being 300 watts and 30 lbs). If you also gig with guitar, you might want to keep an all-tube amp too...or not.

Wait and see....I know that obsessing over all this is all you can do right now, but it all shall become clear once the Half and Half has gone to a few gigs with you...nobody else can help you decide...

Right. I'm really wondering which of these Twin configurations would likely have the most fans.

That is simple to find out - put them all up and see which one sells...

I agree with Steve, Lane... wait till you get it... you won’t having trouble selling either of those amps if you decide to later... Like you I have both an older Session 400 (76?) and a Session 500 and love them both... and for what you might get for them, well maybe they’re worth keeping at that price. Very Happy

Me, I'd keep the Milkman obviously, the Super Twin, the Session 400, get rid of everything else, and if I really had to have a Twin Reverb, get an earlier non-master silverface with the money from selling that boatanchor Session 500 and the other Twins.

Definitely - I'd keep the Session 400 and the Super Twin Reverb head. They're great amps.

Three things I'm keeping:
Denise
Super Twin
Session 400

I'll try to rephrase question in my mind:
I have
1: black cabinet with two Eminence Legend E-M12G speakers
2: Seafoam Green cab with Jensen Mod 15
A: Ultralinear Twin, master volume of course.
B: Reissue Twin

Currently expressed as 1A and 2B
Would 2A and 1B be more marketable?

I haven't plugged in my Mesa/Boogie since I got the Milkman. I tolerate the Webb in my music room, but the Milkman has been on every steel gig.

being more suited to guitar, the reissue twin is your best bet for a quick sale i would think, but your worst for getting your money back out of it.

I'm thinking the reissue in the black cabinet, since guitar players like the 12s, and the Ultralinear into a 15 would make a slow to sell but dynamite steel amp.
