Hello,

I'm new to the forum though I've been reading the great posts for several years now. I know, about time I joined up. Anyway, I'm working on a Sho Bud Professional that I picked up recently and it's got some problems. I'm looking for baskets or rack assemblies for a couple of knee levers LKR and RKR. I'd like to know if anyone has any parts like that or a line on them.

In the way of introduction, my first pro guitar was a SB Professional I got in 1976. I played it into the ground and left it for someone else to restore. I never got into the C6 neck, and now I want to, so nostalgia lead me to get this guitar, but it needs some work. I play a SB 6139 some on stage though piano is my main instrument and what gets me gigs. I also have a LDG. Both guitars have 2 raise/1 lower set ups.

I also play lap steel and was in a Hawaiian band for a few years recently until the main guy moved back to the islands. Learned a lot that makes me think I'm ready to try C6 pedal again. Sorry about the long post. I look forward to talking with you guys. Thanks.

Doug

a couple guys are making parts for older sho-buds, and there are probably some old parts floating around. hang out here and someone will speak up.
i spent 10 years with a sho-bud professional and they are really good old steels. that's what i started learning c6 on also.

Welcome, Doug.

You can check with  Michael Yahl at www.psgparts.com.

James Morehead makes beautiful Sho-Bud parts.  He is relocating right now, we hope to see more of him soon.

The rack & barrel system has a pretty good following here.

Thanks, Dan. I've gotten parts from Michael before, but he's a little behind right now. It's cool. A fellow forumite has some old parts and we've connected on what I need.
