Sarah Jory is the featured soloist on "You Make Loving Fun" with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. You can buy the track on Amazon, or preview it on YouTube. Be patient - she gets to stretch out towards the end.

What a waste of Sarah Jory. Why hire a symphony orchestra and then just have all the fiddles play the tune and... er, that's it. Why not hire an arranger who knows rock music and how to write for orchestra? Might as well have used a synth, and I'm all for live music.
Thanks anyway, b0b. _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!

I enjoyed the Ebow segment, and the speed picking at the end. How often to you get to hear a steel guitarist backed with the power of a full symphony orchestra? Yeah, the arrangement could have been better, but you can tell she was charged up. Her playing is spectacular and flawless (as usual).
I've always liked that song. _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |

DANG. I wanna hear some NCS, and you come up with some California marching band stuff.
Don't they have ONE Ray Price chart?
(I know it's a Christine song, but anything is better than Stevie Nicks' goat-bleatin'. Sarah is a great player, as well as a great entertainer. Good tunage. |

Liked it. Altho I wonder how the London Philharmonic gets that synth sound, it reminds me of early Elton John symphonic arrangements.
Her energy is great all the time, and the Ebow ethereal.
Country in the middle of orchestrated fiddling is fun, and she's a blast and fast.
No music critic here, she could stomp me with the white boots any day. _________________ Those that say don't know; those that know don't say.--Buddy Emmons |

The only one I have seen so far is Lion Kobayashi playing Beyond the Reef on pedal steel guitar in Japan. That is a really nice video on YouTube. |

I love how fast and clean she does that series of hammer-on licks from 5:25 to 5:27. |
