Borrowed Lynn Staffords Quilter Pro head, going to try it with a PV BW1501-DT today. Updates to follow.

I am hoping to combine the great string separation of the Quilter with the thicker mid-range of the BW vs other speakers people have been using. 3 hours and counting.

Larry
If you can, post results for other speakers you may have. Particular interest for me, the Emenence ESP 15C and a Sica 15.

Not sure if these are available to you but very interested.

Thanks
Chuck

Chuck I only had available a BW 1501-DT last night. With it I got a warm low end, I am more use to a brighter low end. By turning back the bass and the low mids as you might expect I felt I lost that in your face attack and punch I like to hear.

I tend to want to here my low end more like JD and less like Curly, but that is just me.

This is a very good steel amp, I liked the reverb it sounded real, and has great string separation.

I am just stuck in the PV and Walker SS sound, that's OK been doing it for years with no complaints from the peanut gallery.

Thanks Larry for your post.

I'm looking for tone and weight reduction in my amp system.

I guess I could buy a Twin Reverb and get my wife a gym membership Very Happy

Chuck
