"The Night Life" on Country Family Reunion

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-9g0okYkCM

Thanks to Dirk Johnson for posting this. Another great thing about this youtube video is hearing Buddy talk about the song. I did not see that part on RFD's airing. We would have to buy the DVDs to see all of those additional interviews. T. Graham Brown's vocals knock me out too.

Anyway, I really appreciate Mike's tribute to Buddy on this. The playing was fantastic as usual and he even included a little bit of Buddy's Martino Monster Lick in one of the breaks. It is also cool that Mike is playing his Emmons push-pull, one of Buddy's proudest achievements.

Mike has been a very important player for me. Back when I was losing interest in steel, I found "You Can Be a Star" and it changed everything!

Not to steal Mike's thunder, but this should be seen by all of us "steelies." I only have the photo below because Clem is my friend too and the best push-pull mechanic on the planet. He works on Mike's guitars.

I have watched it a few times. So nice of Mike to say all the kind words and hear Buddy tell those stories. I would imagine I will be seeing it again and again.

Absolutely... And Mike didn’t look the least bit nervous did he Winking Question ... It’s almost a little hard for me to watch... Bill Anderson getting all choked up did the same to me.
