Terrific solo. The second half with the counter-moving lower notes is off the charts. Song starts at 3:34.

Yes, Mike's playing is tremendous, and that solo is killer. Mo is the real deal - oh yeah, his voice is great. And that is Country Music with a Capital C. |

I expected the Mike Johnson's steel to sound fantastic, but having never heard of 22 yr. old, Mo Pitney, before...what a nice surprise. He'll be one to watch for certain. _________________ Clinesmith consoles D-8/6 5 pedal, D-8 3 pedal & A25 Frypan, Pettingill Teardrop, & P8 Deluxe. |

Tom Thank You so much. Mo is such a talented fellow. He Loves Traditional Country Music as do many of us. I hope we all will be supportive of him and his music. He is trying to keep "Real Country Music "alive, and doing a great job.
I played with Mel Street from March 1976 till he died in October of 1978. He was such an incredible talent. I also have a version of Borrowed Angel on my instrumental CD, Almost Midnight. My brother Mark Johnson sings on it. Hopefully my website will be back up and running soon if you would like to get a copy. In the mean time, you can private message me here on the Forum, and Joanie will help get one sent to you.
Thanks to all you guys for the nice things you have posted about me over the years. I appreciate all of you. _________________ Mike Johnson

I notice that it looks like Junior Brown was really digging the lick that you did at the 6:00 minute mark, Mike. Awesome playing, as always. |

Great clip. Mike is really mashin' down. The great players are able to sign their name to a piece without ever distracting from the singer's message. Nobody does it better. _________________ LeGrande II, Nash. 112, Fender Twin Tone Master, Session 400, Harlow Dobro, R.Q.Jones Dobro |

Mike's solo (on the video immediately following this one) on the tune, 'Don't You Ever Get Tired (of Hurting Me)'I find to be equally as impressive! A perfect combination of tone, touch, and expression. |
