I've created a chord chart as a resource for anyone who needs it. It may be of use to other novices, like me. Each page has some basic chord position possibilities for the major, minor, and seventh of each of the I, IV, and V chords of the key. I've printed them out double-sided and put them in sheet protectors in my binder to help me.
Let me know if you see any errors and I'll try to update it.
Thanks, Will Holtz for the blank pedal steel music sheets I used to make this.
Here's the PDF file:

My apologies if this is in the wrong section... let me know, and I'll move it over. |

Great way to learn the chords. Doing it yourself.
This thread will no doubt launch into a conversation about two things: 1) your choices of A#, rather than Bb, and D#, rather than Eb, etc., and 2) why Cm, C7, Fm, F7, and Gm are not actually in the "key of C," etc., diatonically speaking.
Since you're organizing this according to key, you may want to consider including the relative minor chords and diatonic 7 chords inside each key's page, rather than just making a minor and 7th of the I, IV, and V chords. Learn the Circle of Fifths.
There's another great chord chart floating around here somewhere you might want to check out, too. I applaud your self-starter efforts.
