This guitar was built in 1969 by Fred Trogden and was hand-delivered to Hall Of Fame steeler Jody Carver by Ron Lashley himself. Jody had been instrumental in helping Ron get an Emmons dealership with Manny's Music on 48th street in Manhattan. There are some old threads out there that tell more about the history of this guitar for anyone who might be interested.

Jody was primarily a non-pedal player so this guitar did not see a whole lot of action in the 36 years he owned it. Jody sold the guitar in 2005, and it has had two other owners since then before me, both of whom took terrific care of it. So it is still in remarkable condition. This guitar is not a restoration. Aside from the copedent changes, it is in original condition. I would rate it a 9 to 9.5 on a scale of 1 to 10.

I was told that the pickups are original, but I'm not totally sure about that, having found some old posts where Jody stated that the original pickups were wound to 20 k at his request. The pickups currently on the guitar are lighter (E9: 17.9 k and C6: 18.8 k) so I can't be positive that they are original to the guitar.

This guitar was originally built as a nine-pedal guitar, so it has the more modern pedal spacing of 2 3/8", which is something of a rarity on guitars from this period. It is currently set up as an 8 X 5, with the E lowers on RKL (a.k.a. "the Sho Bud way"). The serial number is 1399 D. The guitar was recently serviced by Rick Price of Utopia, Texas.

The current copedent is here:

https://app.box.com/s/atqwh4rtwqsm1emuprgal4kivrxdmlfl

The original red case is in extremely good condition. There are a few minor scuffs, but you rarely see one of these cases in such good shape.

The price is $5500.00 plus shipping. Please PM or email me if you have any questions.

There is a minor ding in the top edge of the changer-side endplate that can be seen in some of the photos:

Jody did play the guitar out occasionally. Here is a cool photo of him playing the guitar at the Waldorf-Astoria in NYC, I would guess maybe in the mid to late 70's (?):

I have 1346D just like this one, it is the best sounding PP I have owned and I have had about 1/2 dozen of the little buggers. Who ever end up with it will be in hog heaven. It is only money, more keeps coming in, spend it, you deserve it.

This is a beautiful Guitar!! Pardon me for asking, but do these pedals have bevelled edges. Whoa! Trying to make sure my eyes are not playing tricks on me...LOL. Was this something common from the factory during that time or have they been special made? Good Luck with the sell, someone will be very happy to get this one home.

Todd, those are factory standard pedals for that year push pull.
Beautiful guitar, they don't come any prettier or better. That's the cream of the crop in my book.
