I am nearly finished with the steel, a FryPan-8, in which I have mounted one of Rick Aiello's L&M pickups. Yet to be done are minor (yet important): The tuner machine knobs will be black, and the volume/tone knobs will have Myrtle wood insets in them, and Myrtle wood back plate finished and installed.

Another beautifully constructed guitar Wayne. Please post a clip of this one, I'm dying to hear it with the new style Rick pickup.

Hi Wayne,

Anyone can see the quality you have put into these lap guitars. WOW!! It seems like each guitar is custom made.

I purchased a Plano DLX Take Down gun case, model #10303 at Cabelas. The interior measurements are: Length--38", Width----11.25, Depth--3.88".
Even my home made lap guitar W/ a 25" scale length fits with room to spare. I believe I paid about $40. on sale.

The one down side is that the foam is too thick 2" both upper & lower.

Roger

Thank you for your compliment. Yes, each guitar is custom made according to customer specs. Material for fret board and back plate and how I put a finish on them, string spacing and height (bridge and nut), scale length. Headstock design can also be changed, as seen in this build. I usually make my own pickups, and can vary the tone from bright to mellow, by the way I make the pickup and pickup spacing from bridge. Etc etc. This customer wanted to use Rick Aiello's L&M pickup, and I obliged. Smile

If I can find the case you reference at that Price, I may offer it as a case upgrade option.

I am beginning to include the following case with all guitars I sell:

A few more pictures, with myrtle wood inlays in the volume/tone knobs, and myrtle wood back plate. Finished, except the tuning machine knobs will be black (am waiting for them to arrive.)

Very nice! I particularly like that you put your "badge" on the backside of the headstock.

Here is a link to YouTube, to a short video I made, using this guitar.

I composed the melody. Track music generated by Chord Pad.

I also have a recording with the vocal, goes to Bible verses Matt. 11:28-30
