Can someone please give me the string tunings for a plain double 8 Fender. Gonna use the outer neck for E-7th and the inner for the C6th. Thanx, Jack _________________ Zum D10 8x5,rev pre-amp, TC M300, Split 12, n-112, IZZY, Hilton vp, Geo L, BJS Hughey, Live Steel |

I use a high G tuning (from top - G E C A G E Bb/C/C# G/C on my C6th necks and the Jules Ah See B11 (from top - E C# A F# D# B F# B) on the outer neck. Since the top of the B11 tuning is an A6, it's a lot like playing an E9 pedal steel with the A and B pedals engaged. _________________ Jack Aldrich

I am no expert and still going thru a sizable learning curve, but have found a C6/A7 tuning on the inner neck to be the most useful:
G high
E
C
A
G
E
C#
C low
Some players like to have the high E on top and put a booming bass string below the low C. There are no rules with this stuff and it's kinda like the wild west. |
