WTB: Maverick, Sidekick or Equivalent

Hi, some of my family wants to help me get into playing pedal steel. I'm looking for anything 3x1 or 3x2 that you can change the copedent on. My friend who will show me stuff started on a Red Baron or sidekick and now has a Pro MSA, and has experience custom setting up either of those. I'm looking around $600. Thanks.
