Drool! There's a 7-string EH-100 on Reverb.com right now. It's way out of my price range, and i don't really "need" another lap steel, but gosh it's purty.

They sound nice, too. A friend of mine gave me one to fix up for him and I recorded a little demo video of it. Really classic sound.

Sometimes I wish my brain didn't work this way but after I imagined the pickup and knobs as a childish face I can't NOT see it that way.

Has that classic, growly mids-centered Gibson tone. I'm a huge EH-150 fan. I was just looking at a reprint of the 1940 Gibson catalog yesterday from back when they showcased the steel guitar with such pride and attention to detail. Those were the days!

The tone on the Charlie Christian pickup models is really great. I have a 7-string EH-100 with U-magnet pickup (rather than Charlie Christian pickup), V-end fretboard, and 29 frets. The tone is excellent, and it is among the best sounding of my vintage Gibson steels. I would rate the price as ok based on what I see. Smile

Cool, rare Gibson in excellent condition. Every time I see a Gibson with CC pickup I think about the EH-185 w/CC that I foolishly sold several years ago... and kick my @$$. Surprised

Awesome guitar. If I had one nit to pick, it's that the factory didn't do a great job of bookmatching the top.

It is the lower-priced EH-100 though, not the EH-150.
