I was going thru youtube this morning browsing thru Dougs youtube posts and came across this one ! A beautiful song (my favorite vocal version was by Dean Martin). I know he posted this in 2010, but I couldnt find any reference to it on here thru a search on the forum, so I thought I would point it out as maybe there are others who missed it also. I never tire of listening to Doug's wonderful touch and tone !
I would love it if tabbed this one out someday. Here is the link:

Literally brought tears to my eyes and a warm fuzzy feeling to my heart--just a silly old man I guess I am. _________________ Zum Encore, Remington D8 non pedal, Hallmark Mosrite clone, Gretsch 6120 DSW, Gretsch G5210T-P90 Electromatic Jet Two 90,1976 Ibanez L5, Eastman archtop, Taylor Dreadnaught, Telonics pedal, Squire Tele, Squire Strat, Fender Tonemaster, Gold Tone 5 string banjo, Little Wonder tenor banjo, 3 Roland cubes 30s and 80, Carvin combo bass amp |

Doug, that was beautiful. I was about to say, the microphonic quality does give an immediate sound. Simply lovely. _________________ Those that say don't know; those that know don't say.--Buddy Emmons |

Doug, by watching your demo I tabbed out what I think you are playing, without the embellishments on the second time around...so I will have fun playing that one. Thanks for posting it. _________________ Zum Encore, Remington D8 non pedal, Hallmark Mosrite clone, Gretsch 6120 DSW, Gretsch G5210T-P90 Electromatic Jet Two 90,1976 Ibanez L5, Eastman archtop, Taylor Dreadnaught, Telonics pedal, Squire Tele, Squire Strat, Fender Tonemaster, Gold Tone 5 string banjo, Little Wonder tenor banjo, 3 Roland cubes 30s and 80, Carvin combo bass amp |

I just enjoy listening to your songs. You give good advice to members because of your knowledge of steels. You've published some great books with playable tab (C6). And you are "johnny on the spot" for answering some of our beginner questions. Thanks Doug! |

Playing a melody with timing, tone, subtlety, and a sense of the beauty of the melodic line is easy to talk about but very hard to do. Your playing always communicates directly to listeners, Doug. _________________ Steel Guitar Books! Website: www.volkmediabooks.com |
