Hey all,
I am just curious to know if Mullen has ever Silk screened or used another method to "permanently" affix the "Royal Precision" Label on the front of their guitars? I think it would look a little more professional, or streamlined if it were done this way. That's just my opinion and I have no doubt that its arguable.
Do you think Mullen Would be able to do it for a future build if requested? Maybe Mike will chime in.
My guess is its cheaper to use a sticker and Mullen passes the savings onto the players anyway they can.
Anyone have one that wasn't a sticker?

Also. Does anybody know if Mullen will Tap a Royal Precision Changer to allow tunable splits? Thank you!

If you have an open hole on the raise finger, you can do tunable splits without tapping the end of the guitar.
Heck, I bet they'd inlay it in abalone if you threw enough money at them.
It looks like drilling and tapping would require removal of the neck, since it looks like the neck surrounds the changer. I'd rather add a rod.

Jeff, after looking at pics of the RP, I think you'd be far better off using the extra rod method, since you'd need to remove the neck to do a professional looking job of drilling and tapping.
I guess you COULD do it on the guitar, but you'd run the risk of getting shavings in the changer. And you'd need a really steady hand.

Yes, splits can be added. It is harder after the fact as the changer and neck does have to come out as Lane said. We have added many. It is much easier and cheaper to go with an extra rod if you only require like one or two splits.

As for the decal. We have tried other things, but as you mentioned for the volume we do and the three different models, it is more practical for us to use the method we do. We do buy high quality logos, they still are not cheap, but it's like everything else. The more it costs the more it ends up costing.

However, this will be some good news to many. We are currently in the process of developing a new Mullen Guitar Badge type logo for the big one, but the model logo will remain the same. Hope that helps a little.
