Coo-coo Creek Hop - Herby Remington

Does anybody know what tuning Herb used on this tune from the Steel Guitar Holiday album? I am trying to pick it out on my 6 string lap steel tuned to C6, but it doesn't seem to be working. I can do the single note stuff ok, but the chords in the bridge don't seem to be in my guitar. I also tried A6 but I'm not as familiar with that tuning, so it makes things harder to find. A little help would be appreciated. Thanks!
