Our band worked a New Years Eve banquet at the Elks Lodge in Santa Maria,Ca. We were told our equip. would be secure in the building. Not the case. Along with my LDG they took my Baldwin style D banjo, 4 guitars, a trumpet and bass.I bought this guitar brand new in 1982 the serial # is 17825. I would appreciate you fellow forumites to keep an eye out for it. My ph.# is 559-645-7115 or 559-647-8101.
Thank You,

I sure hope you find it Marty. Been there and done that, only mine was stolen from a club the night BEFORE New Years eve! And of course it happened back when I needed the money I made playing that guitar to eat and pay the rent....not later when I could have written a check to replace it! (The steel or the Standel amp they took with it was never found!)
My feelings are with you...

That sucks big. Reminds me of all the times that someone says "don't worry" and you think it means "don't worry--we're on top of it" when it really means "don't worry--we're not worried--we don't really care". |

Marty,
That burns me to hear that. Santa Maria is a small town and I will pass the word around to the local music stores to be on the look out.

Marty, forgot to had...don't hesitate to call if you think that there is anything that I can do for you (805-937-4151). A list of the equipment and discriptions, etc. would be helpful to pass around the local area.

While playing a 3-night gig in a local club, the owner asked me why I took my steel home every night. My answer was simply...
"Because it's mine, and I intend to keep it that way!" |

I can't be of much help; wrong continent,
other than to wish you VERY good luck nailing those suckers and getting your tools back.
I subscribe to Donny's theory.
If they CAN'T steel it, you won't lose it.
I don't like to even go into a small store with windows when there's stuff in the car. |
