I'm going to be playing in Austin July 10th thru 12th. I was wondering if anyone might have a suggestion for a good E9 pedal and/or C6 non-pedal lesson? I had spoken with Eddie Rivers previously but it looks like their on the road. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

I'd try Bob Hoffnar. I took a lesson from him a few months back. You could record it as well, I believe he will be back in town on those dates, PM or email me, I'll get you his contact info if you need it. He's a cool guy, and a really good teacher.

Last time he posted here about lessons, Herb was no longer doing one on one lessons. Neil or Bob, either one, would be a good choice. I took some lessons from Ricky Davis at one time, but I am not sure he is giving them any longer either. He is in Austin and is a really good teacher, but as I said, I am not sure he still does that.

I want to thank my pal Charley Hill for the shout-outs, but I'm not teaching privately anymore. And I don't live in the city anymore, but rather about 30 miles outside of town on Lake Travis; so there's folks in Austin who can certainly help you.
