Film: Lani McIntyre and his Orchestra with his brother, legendary steel guitarist Hal Aloma, performing 'Holo Holo Kaa.' The Lani McIntire Hawaiians were the resident band at the Lexington Hotel in New York's Hawaiian room from 1947-1951.

Hi Andy, thanks for posting all these great links.

Check out this other soundie by Lani McIntyre's band on that site. The lead dancer is Momi Kai stage right in both films.

A number of soundies by LM still exist including Maui Chant, The One Rose, Paradise Isle, and Dreams of Old Hawaii.

Thanks for posting this 'olde' stuff. Really great!
How styles and appearances have all changed down thro' the years.

I've had a pleasant exchange with the daughter of
the gentleman (Danny Kuaana) that Jerry recorded "Nani Hawaii"...
for the past few years.

She has great memories of all those great musicians coming into her family home and playing music all the time.
