I would never doubt your word, but that sounds so much like Curly Chalker that I would have guessed it to be Curly.

yeah buddy...however, i have a marcel dadi record that has curly and buddy playing on it, and there are a few spots where it confused me.

Being a Curly Chalker fanatic, I have to lean with Billy. I'm not saying it is or isn't, but after fifty-three years of Chalker-itis, if I were a betting man, I would've stood by the solo as "Curls" at his finest.
