Hi Guys,
I literally cannot stop thinking about PSG. I have been learning for nearly 12 months and I am absolutely loving this.
I can hardly concentrate at work I keep imagining getting home from work and heading straight to the music room to practice. I am constantly on the hunt for new practice tips and video's to watch. I really love it but it is concerning that I can't concentrate on anything else!!!!
I have decided to make a trip across to the US next year. Hopefully around the time of the Dallas show.
I hope to upgrade and buy a pro model steel whilst I am there and bring it back to OZ.
I hope you are all doing well.
Thanks
Ben Morine |

You got it, or it got you. All perspective. There is no known cure, the closest known cure is poverty which follows the divorce. _________________ Die with Memories. Not Dreams.

Oh boy...another one. As above - no known cure. Temporary measures may be the birth of your next child or a near death experience, but you sound like you're gone..solid gone. You begin feeding the mania early on with the free stuff online (past that I bet), then the relatively 'cheap' purchases of assorted picks and bars and even more instruction...but that will only lead to bigger things - you'll see...not sure if you've seen the commercial that begins "This is your brain (shows normal brain), and this is your brain on Pedal Steel Guitar (ooh..not pretty). Thankfully this Forum is open all night and here for you.
Good luck on your journey, my friend..it's a lotta fun. |

The only cure it to (quickly) to your nearest Steel Guitar Convention or Show. Even that may prove that you are hopeless.... _________________ Amateur Radio Operator NA4IT (Extra)

OCD only has one known cure...
PSG.
As others have indicated...no known cure for PSG.
The forum is actually a group therapy program.

Hehehe...I earlier referred to a fun journey, and I'm not denying that, but...well...you should know this ain't goin away.
If you start doing more research and find the proliferation of Zombies is somehow related to a hinky changer or some such thing, don't pay any attention...there is help out here...usually.
And when Mr. Cohen said 'uh-oh'....that says it all - not to be taken lightly. |

I've been in therapy since '95. It doesn't help. It's like heroin. If you don't kick the habit early, it's going to be with you the rest of your life. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Erv must mean PSG lessons, practicing licks, that kind of therapy.
Working on that B-pedal to AB/rolling your ankle thing, that would be physical therapy. |

Ben I wish that I still had the enthusiasm you have. I know what you are talking about. When I first heard "Little" Roy Wiggins on the radio back in the late 40's playing for Eddie Arnold things have never been the same with me.
I wish you all the best in your pursuit of learning to play the Steel Guitar. Everyone here on this Forum will be as helpful to you as possible, I am sure. Good luck. |

My stage One came with strings, a case and a tuning tool, nothing else. Maybe I should have bought a Martin instead! |
