Has anyone installed an additional pedal cross shaft to the left of the standard/factory 1st pedal location?
There is a cross shaft slot in the frame for such an addition, but there doesn't seem to be enough room on the pedal bar for the pedal spacers. The sliding piece that holds the pedal bar to the leg seems to get in the way.
I suppose one could grind down the spacers to fit.
Wondering if anyone has done this. |

I've done it. The pedal, if you bought one from Carter, would have a shorter piece that the pedal bar axel goes through, on the leg side of the pedal. It doesn't permit a standard pedal in that position. I can take a pic later today when I get home if you need it. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Thanks for your reply Richard.
Yes, if it's not too much trouble I would like to see a picture of the pedal.
Did you move the original pedal shaft to the left or did you replace it with a new, longer shaft? |

I ordered the whole pedal kit from Carter. It included a longer axle for the pedals. It won't be until tomorrow for me to get a picture for you. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . That's fine Richard.
Getting one of those pedal kits is going to be a challenge. Might have to do it "piece-meal". In an extreme case, grind down one end of a regular pedal. |

Tom , try Al Brisco. for kit, he bought all the stock parts when Carter closed. You could also try Mitchell Smithey or Billy Phelps who both worked for Carter. _________________ MSA Millenium SD10, GK MB200, Sica 12inch cab, Joyo American Sound Pedal/ Jay Ganz Straight Ahead amp, Telonics 15inch in Peavey cab, Digitech RP150, Peterson tuner.Hilton volume pedal.Scott Dixon seat and guitar flight case. |

Here's some pics. The side of the pedal closest to the leg clamp is cut off because of the space needed to retract the clamp to get the leg off.

Thanks so much Richard. The pictures will really help in the event I have to go the "do-it-yourself" route.
I'll try Billy and Mitchell for parts...Billy lives here in town. |
