What would be a steel friendly neo 10" speaker?
Similar to the Eminence EPS or a Telonics....

The Eminence Ragin Cajun from the Patriot series has a precipitous drop in frequency response around 3k.

They were frequently recommended for use with a Fender Super Champ XD.

It only handles 75 watts but has a nice sensitivity of 100.5 dB. They say it has good bass response.

Thanks, Les.
I'm, however looking for a neo.
Any experience with the Deltalites or Kappalites?

In a speaker that small you don't have to worry about weight. I have a 10 inch Ragin Cagin and I put it in an amp with one hand. This speaker sounds very nice at reasonable price.

Gaaa! Sorry, Olli. No - just look at the rolloff in the top end (IMO) for smoothness.

The Deltalite II 2510-4 looks interesting, but I have
never used one.

Olli, the redcoat ramrod is a great 10" speaker for steel. It has a very fat, round, even-balanced tone that's clear but not shrill. They're the perfect speaker for my 70 silver face Princeton, and they sound great with distortion and electric guitar as well! http://www.eminence.com/guitar-bass/redcoat-series/?size=10#speakers

Len, you`re right, not much difference between Eminence neos and standards.
I have a Weber Cali in the Evans RE now and that weights about 10 lbs.
Eminences are aroung the 6 lbs mark. Neos about 4,5.
So, it`s either the Raging Cajun or the Ramrod...
Hmmmmmm....
