Just got a song in to do a steel overdub on in the morning, Fairytale by The Pointer Sisters. Not sure who the artist is, but the track is a little faster than the Pointer's version and in a different key. But, they want me to play it just like the original! Hope I can do Weldon Myrick justice......

Hi Reggie,
Hope all is well there in MS. Many of the steel parts on Fairytale were "influenced" by some of Tommy Jackson's fiddle parts behind Ray Price.

Sincerely,
Craig Baker

Cool song, even cooler picking by Weldon. Sounds like a great project for you.

I was on Facebook this morning and a friend of mine who is a big Elvis fan, posted his version of this song. I knew that I had heard it before, but didn't know who did the original.

It is a great song, and should be revived.

Good luck with your version.

Just for fun, here is the intro I did on this song. Try to ignore the metronome. It is the way they sent it to me. https://www.reverbnation.com/control_room/artist/109149/songs
