I hope that I've followed the correct protocol in this address of one of the best musicians that I have had the pleasure of meeting.

I believe that Gary used to practice three hours a day, seven days a week. It shows when he plays and IMO, he is one super nice friend.

Yes, a super guy.

I just want to know how he changed shirts in the middle of the video. I'd like to practice that! Laughing

Great playing Gary Lee....

Some people have wardrobe malfunctions...this looks like a well-rehearsed wardrobe "function". I never considered that switching to the C6 neck requires a shirt with a special C6 neck size as well. Smile

Great version of the Bill Keith banjo classic, 'Crazy Creek', first time that I have heard it performed on steel guitar.

A fiddle tune, one called "Crazy Creek" by ZumEmm.

This is the type of playing that makes you want to hang it up.

Gary's a great player and a good guy! Having studied with Buddy Charleton for years, he knows a ton of steel, and he also plays hot banjo, too. Wink He also reads music, plays charts, and knows a lot about music theory, and isn't averse to playing "out of the box" pop or jazz stuff. Mr. Green

That sounds good Gary, if you can put up with my rusty chops, I'd enjoy that! The next couple of months are pretty busy, as I'm doing some shows, but after July, things will ease up and we can get together. Maybe you could help me with posting some youtube stuff...and maybe we could do some stuff together? Cool

Gary Lee could be a headliner at any steel show or convention. He plays as good as anyone I've heard. That is not meant to shoot down our steel guitar heros, just to let those who may not have heard much of Garys' playing, and give him the recognition he deserves. Plus he's a really nice guy.
