Howdy fellow forum members,
I have a favor to ask of you.
I and the many others that post in "Steel On The Web" spend countless hours either making or preparing the video's you see here.
Hundreds of people watch the video's but so few take the time to write a comment.
I and I know the others would surely appreciate any and all responses, so that we know that the effort is worth it.
Yep, my videos are of the classics, but many post new and inovative stuff.
Let us know how we are doing.
Respectfully,
Bill Ferguson _________________ AUTHORIZED George L's, Goodrich, Telonics and Peavey Dealer: I have 2 steels and several amps. You answered that Robby Turner used the F-sharp to G-sharp raise on his first string. Thanks! _________________ Fender Kingman, Sierra Crown D-10, Evans Amplifier, Soup Cube. |

Thanks, but I'm not just talking about me. There are many people posting great video's that hardly get any responses.
We can see how many people view the videos, but when hardly anyone responds, verbally, we don't have any way of knowing that you like what you see.
So if you visit this sectionn of the forum, take the time to write a response, even a couple of words is better than silence. _________________ AUTHORIZED George L's, Goodrich, Telonics and Peavey Dealer: I have 2 steels and several amps. Hello Bill,
I want to thank you for all the Videos you take time to prepare and post. Everyone should appreciate them as they get to watch past and present Steel Players in action and without your dedication they couldn't.
I'll see you in Conyers. |

Bill, your videos (and others) are a visual and audio window into the history of steel guitar for a person like myself, who took up playing steel at age 65. I missed the Newman, Day, Emmons etc. era and I certainly appreciate the video historic trips about these people. Also the more recent teaching videos by players too numerous to mention. _________________ Dennis

Bill - I'm very sorry for not responding to your posts and acknowledging the priceless footage you make available. I enjoy and learn from them and watch them many times. There's nothing to compare with seeing a master musician play.
I also think it's a great thing steel players from all levels of experience post their work on "Steel on the Web."
It's a great showcase for their steel playing and gives players a goal to strive for. A musician should always - always be learning. This is what the masters do. |

Hi Bill,
I know what you are saying and I second every word. Your clips, as well as others that are discovered on YouTube, are priceless and should be commented. I usually do and, of course, I also have subscribed to your channel on YouTube.
Keep them coming!

Bill I thoroughly enjoy the videos. Due to my work/playing/family commitments I don't get to attend many shows and I get excited when I get a notification that you've posted a new video. The In The Mood one was awesome!!
