I plan on checking out a steel rig for sale in a few days. He won't split it up, though I am only interested in the steel. It is a 12 year old Emmons LeGrande 2, 4x5, looks new. Case looks new. With it will come the Emmons volume pedal, Nashville 400 and a Tubefex. What would be the price range I should be expecting? If he asks for an offer what would be a fair range. He is an older gentleman and I want to be fair with him. This stuff is nice, I am sure.

well depending on condition of course, a good condition Legrande II with that particular setup should fetch around $2000-2600.00
Nashville 400's sell regularly in the $250-$350.00 range
Tubefex $100ish.
Older folk seem to be a little better with prices, especially if they aren't on the forum. Being fair however is an admirable quality.
Seeing as he won't split the items up, I think you should get a descant discount for buying the lot. I think a Fair Price would be around $2,600.00-$2,800.00
Good Luck.
BTW 2 years ago I bought a Sierra S12 Ext e9 with 4 and 5, a Chrome cornered NV400, and a Goodrich 120 pedal for $1000.00

Add an additional $100.00 to $125.00 to the estimate for the volume pedal, but I concur with Jeff, somewhere in the $2600.00 to $2800.00 range is equally fair to both parties.(IMHO)

If any one knows where you can get a legrande 2 for $2000 please let me know! I would say in good shape $2600 would be the low end not the top...

I agree, as most S10 LG-II's have sold lately for about $2600-$2800. Add $150 for the pedal, $250 for the amp and $75 for the TubeFX, and I come up with something closer to $3000. Neutral

The gentleman decided to wait a while before selling, but he said I would get first choice when he made up his mind. Smile Thank you all for your input!

How you doin' buddy? Think I'd offer 3200.00 and then sell anything I didn't need/want. Selling some the extra's would probably bring it down to 27 or 2800. He might throw in some other goodies too. Good luck. Thanks.

I'm still baffled that people pay the highest prices for old Telecasters, even though they were one of the cheapest guitars that Fender made. Oh Well
