I cannot recall anyone mentioning GHS Americana strings.
I don't want to start a Brand A is better than Brand B Discussion.
I regularly use two well known brands and each are good and differ slightly in tone. I recently purchased from B0B a few sets of the GHS Americana strings and they are indeed very nice and have retained their tone and stability for a long time.
I will continue to alternate between the sets I have in My string box and am happy that each will add a different, but pleasing tone to My two instruments.
One big plus for the Americanas is that the package is hermatically sealed and also each string is in it's own hermatically sealed envelope. They will remain fresh in sorage for ever.
Well worth a try.
Best regards
Billy
