I don't know if this is the place to put this. What is the name of this song "standing right beside me just like his always been" Sounds like a tribute to Ernest Tubb. Just now heard it KEQX. |

If memory serves me correctly, those are words from a song that Justin Tubb released on one of his later albums (I think I have it on a cassette). It was a tribute to his dad, ET. |

I got curious about this, and was trying out my Google Fu. I found something about a tribute song Justin did called "Thanks, Troubadour, Thanks" but those lyrics don't seem to be in that one. I thought I also saw something about a song called "Just You and Me Daddy," but of course can't find lyrics for that. It's mostly mentioned as the title of an album released in '99 (after Justin's passing), of duets with his father.
Hope that helps. |

Butch
Go to the Earnest Tubb record shop web-site. They are showing 6 Cd's of Justin Tubb that is available. I'm sure the song you are looking for is on Justin's album with a code #11TUJU8. I had that album years ago on 8 track but now long gone. Hope this helps.
