I have one in the rack setup I use when playing a stereo setup.

It's a great tuner.

I use one on the road, and Peterson Tuners are the best... The rack model is expensive, but - if you are using a rack setup, it's just what the Dr. ordered.

Good luck!

Jack I have two of the Stroboracks and they are outstanding -- very versatile and the best rack tuner on the market IMO

They are top-notch. I have 3 of them in different systems and never had a problem with either.

Need some advice.

I got one of these Peterson Stroborack units several months ago.

Sometimes I find the thing goes kind of crazy and doesn't want to lock in on the fundamental note. By this I mean the squares start going very rapidly across the screen. (I have it the sweetened tunings mode.) The screen starts flipping between notes that are NOT the fundamental note I'm trying to tune. I'm thinking it may be reading some kind of overtones or something.

At other times it seems to work fine. Is there something I'm not doing right? Has anyone else had this experience with the rack mount tuners?

One other thing. In the E-9th or C-6th settings, does it read both the open strings and notes with the pedals activated? (The HD model requires you change the settings for open and pedals).

Thanks,

Don

Update on the Tuner Issue...

I had the pedal board hooked up before the tuner. I tried to go direct from the guitar to the tuner to see what would happen. It worked much better going directly into the tuner. So I guess there's an issue with the pedal board.
