The changer end would be the first place to look, but nothing that is "LL" or Lashley Legrande is push pull. Definitely all pull.

The open rectangles in the end-plate is the first clue. But DG is correct - LeGrandes are all-pull guitars.
There are others better-informed on this than I, but the change-over date is around 1982.

thanks for all the info guys, JR I think Emmons calls it a "plum" color I believe, it is a tricky one for sure, but I think guitar is gorgeous...I used to have a D10 Derby that was the same color, I believe...

Wineberry is good, I would just consider it a shade of burgundy. Perfect color for a PSG to be played in church, Damir, if only I had the bucks.
I'm really gonna have to stop looking at your posts, the drool is affecting my keyboard. Hope it finds a good home. |

For the record, I have a more recent version of this same guitar; in what I believe to be the exact same color or very, very, close. I think at the time it was built Emmons called it a "burgundy". It is quite beautiful, whatever it is called. It always seems to photograph more "plum" when significant lighting such as flash are used; however, without the flash or bright lighting applied it appears to be more dark burgundy or "wineberry" as someone has mentioned. In fact, this color is so pretty when I went to look at it from the original owner I had my mind made up that I wanted a "black" one. Needless to say I came home with the burgundy LLGII overcome with its beauty! Damir always has the choicest of PSG items posted here; I would never hesitate to consider any one of the instruments he sells. Good luck to whomever chooses this great guitar; a good price too!! yes, Jake is the man for all the questions, I am 6'5" and I can't fit under the guitar to play it without installing 2" lift kit on legs an pedals first... thanks for the nice words guys, guitar is gorgeous...
