I'm new to the pedal steel forum and for that matter, the pedal steel. The ol' B-Bender just could not satisfy me anymore. I am one of the lucky ones.. I've got a great teacher here in Carrollton, Mr. Charlie Vaughn. I figure since I am only thirty that I will have this thing whooped by the time I collect social security. Anyway, I can't thank you guys (and gals) enough for how much I have learned on this board over the last few months. I look forward to being a member of such a fine online community.

not only are we the select group of pickers who know what a steel is....we're also a good portion of the small group who know what a b-bender is. i've got a great custom tele with a parsons-white bender. i even got some info recently from albert lee on his bender which is an evans. i wasn't very aware of the evans pull string before, but he swears by them.

I believe that the pedal steel guitar is the most rewarding instrument you could ever play...and as a special bonus, you will find that there is a special bond of instantaneous friendship amongst steel players. Take my word for it, you have entered an extaordinary fraternity. There are many instruments and many musicians, but none quite like the pedal steelers. Leon
