I am looking for someone that could work on my steel in the Abilene, TX area. It's a Sho-bud D10 Professional That has been modified (no rack & Barrel). I am having trouble with the A pedal not going sharp or flat when it's used. There is a clicking noise at the changer area and I can see the finger move slightly after the pedal is pressed. I am fairly new to steel guitar and don't no what to fix. I have tried adjusting the spring tension, making sure that there is slack in the pedal & rod adjustment but I"ve had no success in solving the problem.
Any help would be appreciated since the issue is driving me crazy!! The rest of the guitar stays in tune and works great - except for the A pedal.

This just came up recently with someone's guitar that I worked on ---- is the bellcrank (rod puller) tight on the cross shaft? This often comes loose.
Tightening it is the simplest fix in the book. |

Richard, you might see if Bobby Rains would have a look at it. If not, I'd be willing to take another look. I'm sorry, I've been kinda over loaded with my regular living work lately. |
