Has anyone figured out how Paul plays the fill lick on the four chord in the first verse?

It's at 0:31

Or any of the other licks? I can come with several different ways to play them but I'd love to know how Paul actually does it.

I'd love to be able to do ANYTHING PF does. Or even close.

It sounds like he picks each string (4 and 6) only once and slides to all these notes. The only tricky part is moving the bar from 7 to 8 while releasing the pedal just right to keep the F in tune.

It could also be played on strings 3 & 5 with a bar slant in the second measure, but I don't think that's how he did it because the D to E flat in the lower voice sounds like a pedal, not bar movement from fret 3 to fret 4 (Paul doesn't have a knee lever to lower his B string).

Earnest, how are you getting the Eb at fret 8? Are you moving to 9, releasing B while keeping C down?

Ah! Your fret numbers are one off, aren't they?
