Guitar-volume pedal-overdrive-ehx b9 organ pedal-delay-reverb-amp

Does that look right or should I put the b9 before the overdrive? Thanks a lot. [/img]

I would do:
Guitar-overdrive-volume pedal-ehx b9 organ pedal-delay-reverb-amp

I don't want the Volume Pedal to affect my Overdrive.

That's what I've heard but I don't used he overdrive that often and the way my rig is set up its nice having the cable go straight down from my guitar to my volume pedal then a cord out to my Cush case that I keep my fx pedals in. Thank for the reply

Generally the overdrive/distortion device should be directly from the guitar and before any other devices. If its later it doesn't get the full guitar signal and thus may not distort or distort to desired amount.

I have a POD X3, that I use for effects only (no amp sims). If I connect it directly to my steel the distortion and fuzz effects work great. If I connect the POD after the volume pedal I don't get enough drive, except at full volume, to get any distortion. The other effects such as reverb, delay, chorus, etc work fine running after the volume pedal, regardless of the volume level from the volume pedal.

I (usually) put a buffer / adjustable booster (0 to about +18db) first, and then any form for distortion unit and/or other effect units that need a high level signal in order to perform optimally, followed by VP, followed by other effect units.

Arranging the sound-chain this way means I can make just about any unit scream / distort (if/when I want to), and control the output level with the VP and shape the signal with whatever units I put after the VP.

I haven't used an organ emulator (but I want to), but if it includes the Hammond "Click" just before the note starts, I think it might wanna go before the volume pedal, also.
I'd put the reverb after the volume pedal and the delay on Craigslist.

There's some previous discussions on the B9....It has a compression/sustain effect that, in my experience, works best right out of the guitar, before the VP, and with an even and vigorous pick attack.
