I installed this reverb in my NV112 and it sounds fantastic. Will this work in a NV400 ?
Thx , Ron

How would I know which Mod tank to buy for my NV400?

Thanks Lane.

Richard , If you click on the link it will let you order one. This is the same one Tommy White told us about. It makes a huge difference in your sound. Well worth the $20.00

The 9eb2c1b will work in virtually any Peavey amp. It is a three spring tank. The older steel amps such as Session 400 used a two spring tank, 4eb2c1b. The three spring tank will replace these as well

As far as I know, the MOD tanks use the same numbering system as the Accutronics.

I lost a reverb can in my LTD and opted for the three spring Mod. Best thing I have ever done. I think the Mod tanks are more what the Accutronics/Hammond used to be.

I think my tank is good. My issue is a high pitch squeal. I have another thread about that. Ken mentioned I should go back to the original opamp in the reverb circuit. The opamp should be delivered in the next few days. If that doesn't stop the squeal, I will try a new tank. I already replaced the cable between the tank and chassis.

I have a Peavey LTD 400 that I purchased new about 1977. After the factory JBL blew up, it sat in a closet for decades until I purchased a used BW 1501-4 from a fellow Forumite a couple years ago.

Now it sounds wonderful, with the exception of the reverb. The 'verb works, but there's a constant hiss that increases proportionately as the reverb pot is turned up.

Would replacing the original tank with one of the Mod units solve that problem, or are the noise issues unrelated to the tank itself?

What setting do most of you run on reverb after doing this mod?

I have a NV400, and run my reverb between 3 & 4. I don't like heavy saturation of reverb in my sound. It is the same as before the mod. I also hate delay.

On my LTD i now run it about 3-4 instead of 6-7. Keep in mind I went from a two spring can to a three spring.
I am about tho do the same swap to my Session 400. Those MOD three spring tanks sound killer in those old amps!

I run my reverb on 3 to 4 with a Wampler delay. I like delay. Very Happy
