What is the best source for 8 string c6 lap steel tab and instruction for my son? He likes traditional country, but open to classic/have to know tunes.
Thanks |

The Mike Auldridge beginning instructional DVD is still available I'm told. Howard Parker may have details. Other than that, I'm not aware of any 8 string instruction. I would recommend the basic C6 psg course by Buddy Emmons. But I understand it is no longer available. Still, you might try his website. Also, Jeff Newman had a good C6 psg beginner course. Emmons and Newman are for 10 strings of course and they do cover some pedal work. But they are primariy the same sort of the thing that Auldridge has in his 8 string instruction DVD. Emmons is the most comprehensive. I hope you get more replies. I'm interested in this subject myself. _________________ Amor vincit omnia |

Jason, all good suggestions so far. Also, you can click the Instruction link at the top of this page! Then click the C6 link on that page.
