Jerry was 85 when he left us and not too long afterward I wrote this instrumental " A Bird Has Flown". It was one of two that I composed to honor this great player.
Always remembered.

Yes Roy.. Jerry was my inspiration when I first thought of playing steel guitar...(and he still is today). I know of many other steel guitar players who were also inspired by Jerry. (Buddy Emmons being one.)
