Anyone name a track that Tom Brumley cut where there's prominent use of his 11th string E? There must be something out there. Thanks. _________________ E9 INSTRUCTION

Listen to Act Naturally on the Carnegie Hall album, towards the end of the chorus they go through a 6 to a 2, and that`s the most frequent use of the string. Generally I guess the string was used live to play Don Rich`s rhythm pattern when Don was singing harmony. Greg? |

Jim, - you`re quite right, - I forgot that one. By the way, the Steel Guitar Polka was only performed live once, - at the recorded show in Tokyo in 1967. Tom for once set up his steel at the hotel and - at Buck`s request - came up with this polka, the band didn`t get to practice it, but it came off flawlessly that very night
This according to what Tom and Willie told me, - what a band! |
