How close does the front of your pedal sit to the floor when the bracket is used? Mine is about 1/2" off the floor.

My wife has a Goodrich 120 Volume pedal and Goodrich bracket that she uses with her GFI Expo S-10. The front of the volume pedal sits on the floor, its not raised.

I tried my Hilton VP with a Hilton bracket on it and it sits the same way.

I think that is why my pedal doesn't "Swell" right. Off to the shop to make a new bracket!

The wrong pot will affect how the volume works.

The original AB pots that were used were a modified log taper. I don't think anything like that is available any more. A log (audio) taper is about it.

Yea, what made me question this is that I put a Dunlop pot in my Goodrich, and tried it sitting on the floor to make sure I had it wired right, and it worked great. With it 1/2" off the floor, it doesn't, so getting it level should "fix" my foot!

I took the bracket off of my Hilton low profile VP, because it would lift the pedal off the floor about 1/2" when hung on the bar of my Mullen. The bar is tightened with wing nut clamps onto the legs but can be accidentally lowered by pressure put on the pedal with bracket attached, causing all kinds of problems with tuning and action of the pedals.

Im not sure if this only happens with the low profile version but Im guessing all pedals are lifted off the ground with brackets.

Luckily it is even lower profile without it and the pedal doesn't really move around on the floor without the bracket, but unfortunately it can.

Buddy's design of the original Emmons volume pedal is brilliant. You can swing the heel of the pedal left or right, or put a tilt on it forward, left, right, back, whatever. I'm using an L10k pedal now with an Emmons style Hilton bracket and it works great. I think if I didn't play an Emmons guitar, I would install the Emmons style hardware in my pedal bar so I could use that style bracket.

As I previously mentioned a standard height Goodrich 120 with a Goodrich pedal bar bracket or standard height Hilton with a Hilton pedal bar bracket sits with all four rubber feet on the floor on my wife's GFI S-10 Expo.

Same way on my Franklin.
