Every Thursday night in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, VFW Post 788 hosts our group, Wild Bill & The Pony Express!! We start at 5pm and got til 9pm.... We are a 6-piece group of seasoned players with steel- (myself), fiddle-Carlis Faurot, lead gtr.-Mike Williams, bass-Eddie Cotton, drums-Mike Eastman, and lead singer/rhythm-Wild Bill Elliott. It's an awesome time with a huge dance floor, great atmosphere and nothing but Ray Price, Faron Young, Porter Waggoner, Haggard, etc. all night long! It's getting harder and harder to find gigs that feature great honky-tonk music, and we feel very fortunate to have a job like this where we get to play for so many appreciative folks!! We truly hope to see some of you come out sometime!!  |
