Just wanted to give a shout out to to friend Dan Dugmore on receiving the ACM Steel Guitar Award this year. I have been following Dan since the 70's. I've known him personally for the last 20. His discography is immense. He's still recording on master hits in Nashville. It's high time Dan Dugmore is inducted into the Steel Guitar Hall Of Fame. Way to go Dan. It's well deserved. |

Congratulations, Dan....on a number of occasions I've checked the album credits to find out who's playing some great steel - Dan's name shows up a lot! |

Dan Dugmore is one of my steel heroes, along with many other steel players. He's one of those players who plays with a lot of feeling! Two examples of his playing with feeling are on Linda Ronstadt's "Blue Bayou-the solo he played on that record was awesome, and then his steel work on Gary Allan's "Smoke Rings In The Dark" record sounds incredible! Then his steel work on Travis Tritt's songs "Best Of Intentions" and "Love Of A Woman" are awesome-he played a great solo on "Love Of A Woman". He's played on a lot of great records! I love hearing the steel parts he plays where the steel rings! Congratulations, Mr. Dan Dugmore! |
