The "New" Super~Pro I got from Bobbe sounds awesome.I loved it but at first I wouldn`t even looked at that guitar because of the aluminum necks.I had a Pro III with aluminum necks and didn`t like it at all.The tone was somewhat brassy or I don`t know how would I call it, but Super~Pro with aluminum necks sounds more treble and different than Pro III.
Just to write something,I`m bored and waiting on some horror movie on the TV.

It has nothing to do with the Necks and everything to do with the Changer fingers and the difference in what/how they are made from.
The strings vibrate on the fingers and nut/rollers. So what are they made out of and how are they mounted and to what are they mounted to and that is picked up by your pickups....and that is the major sound of your guitar and the difference between one guitar and another.

yeah,I would guess that it has to be something other than a necks since both guitars have metal necks but they sound totaly diferent. Thanks Ricky.

Take a Pro III Custom and put a GL 10-1 pickup on the E-9th neck.
You'll get an awesome sounding guitar.

For me the difference is more in the overall feel. The Super Pro that I tried had a somewhat faster action than my Pro-II (which is similar to the III except for the necks) But then maybe it was because it was black.

Damir
I have a Super Pro that is hard to beat. I
am thinking of having the original pickups
rewound by Jerry Wallace. I have 710BL on the
E9 and a 10-1 George L on the C6th. Any suggestions.
How much for that leather couch?
