I could be really interested in a triple-neck 6-string steel. I started playing standard D a while back and fell head over heels for it. So now I see the point of 6 strings beyond G-dobro tuning. Well, and C6 too...though 8 strings seem better for it and E13.
I could get a lot of music out of a T-6, but I don't think I've ever seen one.
Rex Hunt (Bottle Hill) mentioned having a T-6 made by Gretsch? Maybe? Memory is a tad fuzzy from the Bloomington years. I used to jam with Rex a little, he'd play dobro or banjo and I'd strum and sing.
What have you folks seen out there? _________________ RICK ABBOTT

I'm really asking if they were made in any serious numbers in the past...say 1949 to 1975.
I'm not trying to buy one exactly, but thanks all the same. _________________ RICK ABBOTT

I have a friend that does great cabinetry and is a serious guitar player. I may have to see if we could collaborate on building a T-6 or 6-8-6.
Doug, you bought a T-8 Fender off of me on Ebay in about 2006...I wish I still had it...you know the ol' lament. It was pretty beat, but cool. Now I know what to do with it! _________________ RICK ABBOTT
