Hi, I bought this GFI 10 string console on ebay years ago because it looked like an easy steel to convert to lefty.
That proved to be the case with the bridge and nut since they are rods simply sitting in a channel. I bought a red mica bottom panel from GFI and drilled it for lefty leg tripod configuration. I wanted to be sure I could undo and changes if I wanted to make it righty again.
Well, I do love playing it and it sounds great (my mediocre playing not withstanding)
Anyway, inspired by the Clinesmith (Bigsby) Billy Robinson steel, I got to thinking it would be fun to add a tone and volume to it. There was a nice space behind the bridge to do just that. It turned out great! Here are some photos. Note: I put some boring Strat knobs on there until the nice aluminum knobs (also pictured) arrive:
